Privacy Policy
Culture Core Network respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Culture Core Network ("CCN", "we", "us") processes personal information in connection with culturecorenetwork.com, CCN memberships and related services.
Who controls your data
The controller for personal data processed directly by CCN is Culture Core Network, Netherlands. You can contact us at [email protected] or through the support functionality on culturecorenetwork.com. Full statutory company details will be provided through CCN's website/legal information as required by applicable law.
Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with CCN, we may process the following categories of information:
- account and authentication information, such as an account identifier, username, display name, profile image and other information supplied by an authentication provider depending on your settings and permissions,
- membership information, including membership tier, subscription status, billing cycle, start and renewal dates, cancellations and membership history,
- transaction information, including payment status, amounts, currency, transaction identifiers, invoices and related records,
- contact information, such as email address, phone number or similar information where provided to CCN,
- support communications and information you provide when contacting CCN,
- website and device information, including IP address, browser, operating system, device information, language, approximate location derived from technical information, timestamps and technical logs,
- usage and analytics information, including pages visited, interactions, referral information, campaign attribution and session information,
- cookies, pixels and similar tracking information, subject to applicable consent requirements,
- safety and moderation information, including reports, flags, security signals, moderation records and limited content or metadata where necessary to investigate abuse or operate safety systems,
- marketing preferences and interactions with CCN communications,
- other information you voluntarily provide directly to CCN.
Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party payment service providers. CCN does not directly store full payment card details. We may receive transaction confirmations, payment status, amounts, currency and identifiers necessary to administer memberships, accounting, fraud prevention and support.
Third-party authentication
CCN may use an external authentication provider to allow users to access the website. CCN may receive limited account information from that provider for purposes such as identifying the user, granting access and managing membership. CCN uses authentication information primarily for account access and membership management, together with security and legal compliance where necessary.
Community communications
Community conversations may take place through third-party communication services. Those conversations are not necessarily stored as CCN website conversations. The relevant third-party provider may independently process information in accordance with its own privacy terms. Where CCN moderation or safety technology operates within such community environments, limited content or metadata may be processed as necessary for safety, moderation, abuse prevention or enforcement.
Why we process information
CCN may use personal information to provide account access; administer memberships; process and verify payments; provide customer support; operate and secure the website; prevent fraud and abuse; enforce rules; provide safety and moderation functionality; understand website performance; improve CCN; send service communications; send marketing where permitted; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, CCN relies on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract — where processing is necessary to provide your membership or requested service.
- Legitimate interests — for reasonable business purposes such as security, fraud prevention, service improvement and protecting CCN and users, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent — for activities requiring consent, including certain analytics, advertising technologies and marketing.
- Legal obligation — where processing is required by law.
- Legal claims — where information is necessary to establish, exercise or defend rights or claims.
Marketing
CCN may send promotional communications about CCN, memberships, updates, opportunities and related services where legally permitted. Where consent is required, marketing will only be sent after valid consent. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time. Important account, security, payment and service communications are not marketing and may still be sent where necessary.
Analytics and advertising technologies
CCN's website may use analytics, advertising pixels and similar technologies to understand website performance, measure campaigns and improve marketing. Where applicable law requires consent, these technologies will not be activated until consent has been obtained. See our Cookie Policy for additional information.
Automated safety systems
CCN may use automated tools, bots and filters to detect potential spam, scams, abuse, threats, harassment, suspicious activity and security risks. Automated detection may result in content or activity being flagged for further action or human review. CCN does not intend to make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects on individuals unless such processing is lawful and appropriately disclosed.
Who we share information with
Personal information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary, including payment providers, authentication providers, communication providers, hosting/infrastructure providers, analytics providers, advertising technology providers, security/moderation providers and professional advisers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law, court order or competent government authority. CCN does not sell personal information to advertisers.
International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the Netherlands or European Economic Area. Where required, CCN will use legally recognised safeguards for international data transfers, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards.
Data retention
CCN retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements. Account and membership information may generally be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Financial and transaction records may be retained for statutory accounting/tax periods. Fraud, security or enforcement records may be retained where necessary to protect CCN or users or to comply with law.
Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account and eligible personal information. Deletion does not necessarily require CCN to delete information that must legally be retained or is reasonably necessary for legal compliance, financial records, fraud prevention, security, disputes or legal claims.
Children and minors
CCN is intended for users of different ages, but eligibility and consent requirements vary internationally. Users must satisfy the minimum age rules applicable in their jurisdiction. Where parental or guardian consent is legally required for processing a child's information, that consent must be obtained before the relevant processing occurs. CCN may take reasonable measures to verify age or parental consent where necessary. If CCN becomes aware that personal data was collected from a child contrary to applicable legal requirements, appropriate action may be taken, including restricting the account or deleting relevant information.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access your personal data; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; restrict processing; object to certain processing; receive portable data; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority. Where the GDPR applies, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or another competent supervisory authority. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
Security
CCN uses reasonable organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information. However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. Users should also protect their authentication credentials and devices.
Third-party services
Third-party services connected with CCN operate under their own privacy practices. CCN is not the controller of all information independently collected by those providers. You should review the privacy information of services you choose to use.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when CCN, our technology or applicable laws change. Material changes will be communicated where required.
