Community Guidelines
Culture Core Network exists to bring people together around culture, knowledge, talent, interests and opportunities. These Community Guidelines apply to community areas made available by, connected with or operated for CCN, including community functionality delivered through third-party services.
Respect other people
Treat other members with reasonable respect. CCN does not permit targeted harassment, serious bullying, credible threats, stalking, intimidation or coordinated abuse. Disagreement and criticism are allowed. Abuse is not.
Hate and discrimination
Do not attack or threaten people based on protected characteristics. Discussion of controversial subjects is not automatically prohibited, but content designed to dehumanise, threaten or incite hatred or violence may be removed.
Threats and violence
Do not make credible threats of violence or encourage serious violence against another person. Content facilitating criminal violence may be restricted or reported where appropriate.
Privacy and doxxing
Do not publish another person's private or sensitive information without lawful justification or permission. This includes private addresses, confidential contact details, financial information, credentials and other information that can create a meaningful safety risk.
Scams and fraud
CCN has zero tolerance for scams and deliberate fraud. You must not:
- mislead members for financial gain,
- run fraudulent schemes,
- solicit money through deception,
- steal credentials or conduct phishing,
- impersonate organisations for fraud,
- intentionally misrepresent transactions.
Impersonation
Do not impersonate another real person, company, celebrity, specialist or organisation in a manner intended to deceive people. Parody or fan activity should be sufficiently clear where confusion is reasonably likely.
Spam
Do not repeatedly send unwanted promotional messages, unsolicited mass messages or irrelevant repetitive content. Commercial promotion may be restricted to appropriate areas or circumstances.
Manipulation and unauthorised automation
Do not use unauthorised bots, scripts or coordinated accounts to artificially manipulate engagement, evade enforcement, spam users, scrape protected information or disrupt the community. CCN may use its own authorised automated technology for security, moderation and operational purposes.
Sexual content
CCN serves users of different ages. Reasonable mature discussion may occur where contextually appropriate. Explicit pornography, graphic sexual material, sexual solicitation, sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual material and sexual content involving minors are prohibited.
Child safety
Do not exploit, groom, endanger or sexualise minors. Content indicating child sexual exploitation may be removed immediately and may be reported to appropriate authorities where required or appropriate. Adults must maintain appropriate boundaries when interacting with minors.
Illegal activity
Do not use CCN to organise, facilitate or promote unlawful activity. CCN may restrict content or accounts where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations or valid orders from competent authorities.
Intellectual property
Only distribute content you have the right to use. Do not knowingly infringe copyrights, trademarks, image rights or other intellectual-property rights. Rights holders can contact CCN Support regarding suspected infringement.
Malware and cyber abuse
Do not distribute malicious software, steal credentials, attempt unauthorised access, exploit security vulnerabilities maliciously or interfere with CCN or another person's devices/accounts. Responsible security reports should be sent privately to CCN rather than exploited.
Misleading opportunities
Do not advertise fake employment, investment, collaboration, casting, representation or business opportunities. Members should independently evaluate opportunities and people they encounter. CCN's involvement in the network does not guarantee an opportunity or third party.
Safety systems
CCN may use automated safety systems, bots, filters and human moderation to help identify behaviour that may violate these Guidelines. Automated systems can make mistakes. Where appropriate, CCN may review flagged activity manually.
Reports
Members can report suspected spam, scams, harassment, threats, illegal content, impersonation, exploitation or other violations through available reporting functionality or by contacting Support. Making intentionally false or abusive reports may itself result in action.
Enforcement
CCN considers factors including severity, context, intent, repetition, risk to others and previous violations. Possible actions include warnings, restrictions, removal, temporary suspension and permanent termination. Serious safety, fraud or illegal-activity issues may result in immediate action.
Third-party community services
Some community functionality may be supplied through third-party services. Those providers may independently enforce their own terms, policies and moderation rules. A member may therefore be subject to both CCN's Community Guidelines and the rules of the relevant service.
Support
If you have questions about a restriction or moderation decision, contact CCN through the website support/chat or [email protected]. Where applicable law requires additional complaint or review mechanisms, CCN will provide them.
